Project Summary

A garage rebuild project focused on solving backyard water issues while creating a taller, more usable garage with improved driveway access and storage potential.

Challenges

The existing garage area was affected by backyard flooding, with water reaching the garage foundation and entering the structure. The client also wanted more height and space than the existing garage provided.

Solutions

The project included a new foundation, a larger garage structure, and a new driveway. To address the drainage concern, a French drain was installed along the garage perimeter and routed toward the front of the property to move water away from the foundation.

Results

The completed garage measured approximately 24' wide x 24' deep x 17' high, with a gable roof, 8-foot garage door, and 9-foot interior ceiling. The new 24' (w) x 17' (d) driveway improved access, while the added drainage helped protect the new foundation from recurring water issues.
