Project Summary

This garage project combined structural rebuilding, drainage correction, and driveway installation to create a more durable and functional garage setup.

Challenges

The backyard drainage conditions were causing water to rise above the garage foundation and flood into the garage. The client needed the water issue addressed while also upgrading to a taller garage with more usable interior space.

Solutions

A new foundation and garage structure were built to support the updated layout. A perimeter French drain was installed around the garage and routed toward the front drainage path to help redirect water away from the foundation. A new driveway was also installed to complete the rebuild.

Results

The finished project included a new 24' (w) x 22' (d) garage, 17' exterior height, gable roof, 8-foot garage door, 9-foot interior ceiling, and a new 24' (w) x 17' (d) driveway. The upgraded drainage system improved water control around the garage and helped support the long-term durability of the rebuild.
